On 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, channels 1, 6, 11 are the only ones that don't overlap with each other at all — for a multi-router setup, picking from that set avoids interference. This doesn't apply to 5GHz or 6GHz Wi-Fi, which use much wider non-overlapping channel spacing.
